Local-first by design

SoYi is a local-first app. Your personal data — your logs, journal entries, conversations with Serene — never leaves your device.

What SoYi stores

SoYi stores your urge logs, wellbeing check-ins, journal entries, food logs, and alternatives list on your device only, using on-device storage (SQLite on mobile, IndexedDB on web). This data is never transmitted to GoodAI's servers.

What GoodAI receives

GoodAI does not receive, store, or process any personal emotional or behavioural data. GoodAI has no access to your logs, check-ins, or journal entries.

Food search

English food search — when you search for food in English, SoYi sends your search query (e.g. "apple") to the USDA FoodData Central API (api.nal.usda.gov). No personal data is included in these requests. FoodData Central is a public database operated by the US Department of Agriculture.

Chinese food search — when the app language is set to Chinese (中文), food search uses a bundled local database. No network request is made and no data is sent anywhere.

Analytics

SoYi does not use advertising tracking or behavioural analytics.

Deleting your data

You can delete all your data at any time by tapping "Clear all my data" — in the mobile app, under Records → All; in the web app, at the bottom of My Records. This permanently removes everything stored on your device.
